This fall family session in Bucyrus, Kansas was such a joy to photograph. As a Kansas City family photographer, I love capturing families in places that feel meaningful to them — and James and Emily’s farm property provided the perfect backdrop for relaxed, lifestyle family photos. With their three children running through open fields, playing with chickens, jumping off trucks, and picking wildflowers, this session was filled with genuine movement and connection. Fall family photos in the Kansas City area are always beautiful, but there’s something especially timeless about documenting a family in their own space, surrounded by the land and rhythms that shape their everyday life.
